Photo ID and accessibility
What ID do I need to vote in Missouri?
Bring a photo ID that has not expired, such as a Missouri driver’s or nondriver’s license, a U.S. passport or a military or veteran’s ID. Another photo ID from the United States or Missouri also counts, including one that expired after the last general election.
Missouri gives one free nondriver license for voting to a registered voter who has no photo ID.
What if I don’t have a photo ID?
If you’re registered and don’t have an accepted ID, you may cast a provisional ballot. It counts if you return with accepted ID as required or election officials verify that your signature matches your registration record.
The Kansas City Election Board offers this provisional ballot only on Election Day, so bring a photo ID to early voting.
What help is available at the polls?
Accessible voting equipment is available at every polling place. Voters with limited mobility may request curbside voting. Ask your election authority about access at your location or assistance marking your ballot.

Missouri’s dedicated portal explains registration, ballot requests and return options for eligible military and overseas voters.
